Page 9b - Rare, U.S. Fluorescent and Franklin-Sterling Hill Minerals For Sale

The minerals can be purchased using personal checks, money orders, and Paypal. My address is Stuart Schneider, P.O. Postage and handling, and insurance (if you want it) will be added to your order once the weight is figured. I mail using the US Postal Service. Email me to reserve the item numbers that you want.

Terms: You can return any item to me within 10 days for any reason. If I misdescribed it, I will refund your postage both ways. If you are dissatisfied, you pay postage both ways. All photos are taken under daylight and Short Wave Ultraviolet (I use a Super Bright brand light). If your light is more than a few years old, the item may look bluer than it looks here.

Beautiful boat-shaped norbergite crystal (the largest that I have ever found) in limestone from Limecrest quarry (area now flooded), Sparta, Sussex County, New Jersey. Norbergite fluoresces yellow SW. The piece weighs 2.0 oz. and is 2.8 x 1.5 x 0.7 inches. $35.00, item #241 (SOLD)

Rare and attractive xonotlite, clinohedrite, and willemite from the Franklin mine, Franklin, Sussex County, NJ. The xonotlite fluoresces purple-blue SW, the clinohedrite fluoresces orange SW and the willemite fluoresces green SW. It weighs 16.0 oz. and is 3.1 x 2.9 x 2.3 inches. $80.00, #2105 (SOLD)

Aragonite & fluorapatite from the Noble pit, Sterling Hill mine, Ogdensburg, Sussex County, NJ. The piece weighs 8.0 oz. and is 2.4 x 2.2 x 2.5 inches. $14.00, item #2023 Hydrozincite and a touch of calcite from the Sterling Hill mine, Ogdensburg, Sussex County, NJ. The calcite fluoresces orange-red SW and the hydrozincite fluoresces bright pale blue SW. It weighs 8.0 oz. and is 4.0 x 2.3 x 1.8 inches. $22.00, item #2108

A large example of norbergite with fluorite & calcite from the Limecrest quarry, Sparta, Sussex County, NJ. This quarry is now closed and may be sold for housing development. The norbergite fluoresces yellow SW. Fluorapatite crystals, galena crystals, & calcite from the Noble pit, Sterling Hill mine, Ogdensburg, Sussex County, NJ. These were covered in sticky, black manganese mud and were picked clean with a dental tool. The fluorapatite fluoresces orange SW and the calcite fluoresces orange-red SW. Franklin Fluorescing Quartz - Fluorescing quartz is a subtle fluorescent. It never fluoresces brightly.
